ANALYSIS
Ferreira has not been in the Octagon since December of 2021 when he lost by TKO to Mateusz Gamrot. He has lost three straight following a strong six fight win streak. Ferreira really needs to get back on track in May.

Added to UFC 277 card in July
Ferreira is in line to take on Drakkar Klose on the UFC 277 card scheduled for July 30, MMA reporter Ariel Helwani reports.
ANALYSIS
Ferreira has been sliding a bit downhill of late, losing three consecutive fights following six straight wins. Ferreira's last two losses have come to a conclusion via KO/TKO, while Drakkar Klose is coming off of his first UFC win via KO/TKO (punches) against Brandon Jenkins. Ferreira does hold a four-inch reach advantage over his opponent, so he may aim to keep Klose at a distance.

Losing streak hits three
Ferreira lost to Mateusz Gamrot via TKO (verbal submission) at 3:26 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Ferreira was on the verge of title-implicating fights at 155 pounds as recently as this past February, but it's all fallen apart on him since. This was probably the most concerning effort to date. In a fight which lasted less than nine minutes, the Brazilian allowed four successful takedowns to Gamrot on seven attempts . It marked the third straight fight in which Ferreira has allowed that many tries, as the book on how to attack him is clearly out. The stoppage came when Ferreira yelled and waved his hand at referee Jason Herzog following a knee to the body, but it took a few seconds before Herzog realized Diego was pulling the plug. Ferreira may get another chance due to fact he has been with the UFC since June 2014, but he turns 37 years of age next month and has zero upside at this point.

Fighting Gamrot in December
Ferreira (undisclosed) has agreed to fight Mateusz Gamrot in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night on Dec. 18, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ferreira withdrew from his scheduled matchup with Grant Dawson in early October due to injury, though he's now healthy and will attempt to avoid going 0-3 in 2021. Gamrot suffered his first professional loss during his UFC debut in October 2020, but he's rebounded this year with wins over Scott Holtzman (KO) and Jeremy Stephens (submission).
