Zhukayev won 6-4, 7-6 (4) over James Duckworth in the second round of Surbiton on Thursday.

Zhukayev reached another quarterfinal at the challenger level as he ousted the the No. 105-ranked Australian in straight sets across one hour and 36 minutes. It's the fourth challenger quarterfinal appearance of the year for the 23-year-old Kazakh, but he's yet to advance past this stage. He'll face South African Lloyd Harris in the quarterfinals.
