DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Even though the Warriors are heavy favorites in the NBA Finals, Game 1 was a close and exciting contest. The Cavaliers have another chance to steal a win on the road Sunday before returning home for Game 3. This also brings one of the last opportunities to play NBA DFS, so let's try to take advantage and finish the night with a winning entry on DraftKings.

Expensive

LeBron James, CLE ($15,000): The Cavaliers couldn't pull out the win Thursday, but James still scored a whopping 76 DraftKings points. Not only did he score 51 points, but he also had eight rebounds and eight assists. This marked the third straight game that James has scored at least 70.3 DraftKings points. He'll need another monster stat line Sunday if the Cavaliers are going to have any chance of winning and he has the highest upside of anyone on either team in DFS.

Stephen Curry, GS ($11,000): Curry came through with 53.5 DraftKings points in Game 1, marking his third consecutive game with at least 51.8 DraftKings points. He attempted at least 22 shots in each contest while also shooting a combined 17-for-40 from behind the arc. He doesn't have the scoring upside that James does considering his much stronger supporting cast, but he can still provide plenty of value.

Middle-priced

Draymond Green, GS ($8,400): Green fell an assist shy of a triple-double in Game 1, scoring 55.8 DraftKings points. He has had some struggles on the road during the playoffs, but he has scored at least 44.3 DraftKings points in each of his last eight home games. He's not going to provide a lot of offense, but his ability to produce in multiple categories gives him a high floor.

Kevin Love, CLE ($8,200): Love was able to make his return from a concussion for Game 1, giving James and the Cavaliers a much needed boost. He finished with a double-double on his way to 40.3 DraftKings points. The Cavaliers have major depth issues, so even though James will have an extremely high usage rate, Love will still get plenty of shot attempts. He's one of their best rebounders as well, making him a great option for your entry.

Discount

J.R. Smith, CLE ($3,400): The play that Smith made at the end of regulation in Game 1 is going to go down as one of the biggest bonehead moves in NBA Finals history. From a fantasy perspective, he did finish with a respectable 20.5 DraftKings points and attempted 10 shots, the most he has put up in a game since Game 1 of the series against the Raptors. The Warriors play at a fast pace and aren't as tough defensively as the Celtics were, so Smith might be worth taking a chance on at this cheap price.

Larry Nance, CLE ($3,200): Nance played 19 minutes in Game 1 and finished one point shy of a double-double. He scored 24.8 DraftKings, marking the third time in the last six games that he has scored at least 24.3 DraftKings points. The Warriors like to play small lineups, which should help Nance as a member of the Cavaliers' second unit. His upside is limited at best, but he still might be worth the risk in tournament play.
