Ray (neck) announced his retirement Wednesday at the age of 39.
ANALYSIS
One of the best quarterbacks in the history of the CFL called it quits Wednesday, hanging up his cleats after suffering a season-ending neck injury against Calgary last year in June. His 16-year career was spent with the Argos and the Eskimos, finishing in the top-five of league history in passing yards, touchdowns and starts. He'll best be known for his accuracy, however, as his 68.2 career completion percentage is currently sitting at first in league history, as well as his ability to win, including four Grey Cups. Toronto will replace him in their starting lineup with James Franklin, while Ray has made it known in the past that he's interested in possibly coaching one day.
