Still rehabbing
Zipperer (knee) was in a non-contact jersey and rehabbing on the side during the first spring practice Thursday, Jacob Rudner of 247Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Zipperer missed all of the 2023 campaign with a torn ACL suffered last spring and is apparently not all the way back yet. The senior will continue to rehab in spring with no clear date for when he'll be ready to practice and/or shed the no-contact jersey. When healthy, Zipperer could prove to be a contributor at tight end again after turning in double-digit catches in each season between 2020 and 2022.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Zipperer will be part of the tight end duo, along with Kemore Gamble, that has the unenviable task of attempting to replace Kyle Pitts. A generational talent, Pitts averaged 17.9 yards per reception and scored 12 touchdowns last season, paving the way for his selection in the NFL Draft at No. 4, the highest ever for a tight end. Zipperer collected 11 catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns in 2020, while Gamble managed 10 grabs for 160 yards and three scores. The tandem will also have a new quarterback to catch passes from, as Kyle Trask is now in the NFL. Emory Jones is considered more of a dual-threat option, though, so the passing game could suffer a tad as well. Zipperer has some big shoes to fill, and clearly he will not be asked to do so on his own.
