Catches one pass
TEJacksonville Jaguars
January 28, 2020
Koyack caught one of three targets for nine yards in 11 games this season.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old fell victim to roster cutdowns at the start of the season but rejoined the Jags in early October following numerous injuries to the tight end group. Koyack has been cut multiple times since being drafted in the seventh round by Jacksonville in 2015, but he's still appeared in 48 games with the team. He'll hit free agency in March, but he could rejoin the Jaguars once again if they're in need of a run-blocking tight end.

The Jaguars saw numerous injuries and had virtually no production from the tight-end position in 2018, and Koyack is a good example of that as he was not targeted in seven games with the team. The 26-year-old has stuck around Jacksonville since being a seventh-round pick in 2015, but has yet to match the production of his rookie season in which he totaled 161 receiving yards. Free-agent signing Geoff Swaim and third-round pick Josh Oliver are poised to serve as contributors at tight end for the Jags, likely leaving Koyack, James O'Shaughnessy and others to battle for depth roles.
Koyack suited up for all 16 games last season but had only five catches for 38 yards. The 25-year-old could push Niles Paul for the No. 2 tight end job with a strong camp, but is likely destined to primarily serve as a blocking tight end.
Koyack got his first taste of NFL action in 2016, appearing in 14 games and catching 19 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown. The Notre Dame product is firmly behind both Marcedes Lewis and Mychal Rivera on the depth chart, and he'll compete with the likes of Neal Sterling, Alex Ellis, and Caleb Bluiett for a roster spot out of camp.
Koyack is unlikely to make the 53-man roster.
