Jenkins won't return to Sunday's game against the Colts due to a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins has played in just six games this season, recording 11 tackles. The fifth-year pro only played more than 15 defensive snaps twice in those games, so he doesn't leave many defensive snaps in his absence.

Jenkins, who signed with the Raiders this offseason, proved to be a reliable three-down linebacker throughout his first few years in the league with Miami before the injury bug limited him to just seven starts in 2016. Oakland desperately needed help at both the weakside and middle linebacker positions, so Jenkins will immediately be the top candidate to start at WLB with the inexperienced Tyrell Adams likely not providing much competition for playing time out of the gate. If he's able to stay healthy in 2017, Jenkins will look to surpass the 100-tackle mark for the second time in his career.
Jenkins first season as a starter for Miami was far from a successful one as he finished with only 71 tackles in 13 games. He is slated to once again start at WLB and with a healthy Cameron Wake and free agent addition Mario Williams for offenses to worry about, there is hope that Jenkins will see in increase in tackles this year.
Jenkins wasn't expected to start last year, but injuries created opportunity, and by season's end Jenkins was arguably the team's best linebacker. Despite missing one game, Jenkins easily surpassed 100 tackles, and he showed good pass-rushing upside with 3.5 sacks in 899 snaps. Miami all but assured Jenkins a three-down role this year by shipping starters Dannell Ellerbe and Phillip Wheeler out of town, leaving only Koa Misi as a fellow returning starter. With more snaps this year, Jenkins has room for improvement.
The 2013 fourth-rounder played in all 16 games as a rookie last season, but only had 17 tackles in his role as a reserve linebacker. He's off the IDP radar unless he ascends to a starting gig at any point.
The Dolphins fourth-round pick in this past April's draft will likely be in a backup role this year and participate on special teams.
