Suffers broken nose
Silva is facing a six-month medical suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission pending medical clearance of a broken nose, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.

Silva released a statement via his Instagram account Sunday afternoon in which he said "goodbye" to his life as a professional mixed martial artist, Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting reports.

There were a lot of questions surrounding Silva's future after his defeat to Uriah Hall via TKO (punches) at Saturday night's UFC Fight Night. The 45-year-old had one more fight left on his UFC deal although many were speaking for him saying that he should be done regardless. With his message Sunday, Silva sounded pretty convincing that he's moving on. He claimed that "he's feeling at peace" and continued to thank many people who have helped him along the way. The Spider's legendary fighting career seems to be over, and his next stop will surely be the UFC Hall of Fame.

Silva is expected to face Uriah Hall in a middleweight fight Oct. 31, in what could be "The Spider's" final UFC bout, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports. "I met with [Silva's] managers the other day; this will be his last fight. I think he's going to retire," UFC president Dana White said.
