Cut up in lackluster performance
BantamweightOther
June 1, 2019
Evinger lost to Lina Lansberg via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night 153 in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Evinger seemed stuck in first gear in this one, as she got the grappling exchanges she (presumably) wanted but was unable to do anything with them, even getting reversed at one point while having her opponent's back. It's tough to know what comes next for Evinger at this point, who came into the organization as a top-flight grappler but has now been bested on the ground in both of her last two fights. She falls to 19-8 (1 NC) in her professional MMA career, having lost all three of her fights in the UFC.

Fighting for win in Stockholm
BantamweightOther
April 3, 2019
Evinger has been slated to fight at UFC Stockholm on June 1 against Lina Lansberg, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
At one point, Evinger was though of capable to challenge for the UFC featherweight title, but she's gone winless in UFC after two fighters by losing to Aspen Ladd and Cris Cyborg. She'll seek her first win against Lansberg, who will have the advantage of the home crowd by fighting in her home country of Sweden.
Suffers second straight stoppage loss Saturday

October 6, 2018
Evinger lost to Aspen Ladd via TKO (strikes) at 3:26 of Round 1 at UFC 229 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a particularly concerning performance for Evinger. Getting stopped by Cris Cyborg is one thing, but not making it out of the first round against Ladd is a different story. Evinger was seemingly in decent position during an exchange along the fence before Ladd ended up on top of her and Evinger was all but done at that point. She absorbed a good dozen unnecessary shots due to the incompetence of referee Chris Tognoni. Now 37 years old and coming off back-to-back fights in which she wasn't competitive, it's fair to wonder if Evinger is staring at the end of the line.
Now booked for UFC 229
BantamweightOther
August 30, 2018
Evinger is now booked to fight Aspen Ladd in a bantamweight matchup at UFC 229 on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas, John Morgan of MMAJunkie reports.
ANALYSIS
Evinger was originally scheduled to fight Ketlen Vieira at UFC Sao Paulo, but Vieira was forced to drop out due to a lingering knee injury. Instead of waiting on a new opponent, Evinger has elected to fight a couple weeks later instead in what will be her first bout since her loss to Cris Cyborg back in July of 2017. Her opponent, Ladd, is a perfect 6-0 in her MMA career and is coming off a win over Lina Lansberg via TKO in her UFC debut back in October. After opening as a big betting underdog, the fight has nearly moved all the way to a pick'em as of late-September.
Needs new opponent in Sao Paulo
BantamweightOther
August 28, 2018
Evinger is in need of a new opponent for UFC Sao Paulo on Sept. 22 following the withdrawal of Ketlen Vieira (knee), MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Evinger is coming off a serious knee injury of her own, and hasn't competed since July 2017 as a result. Though the UFC is actively looking for a replacement opponent, it's entirely possible this could extend the former Invicta champion's time on the shelf.
Booked for first fight since Cyborg loss
BantamweightOther
July 30, 2018
Evinger (undisclosed) will take on Ketlen Vieira in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Sao Paulo on Sept. 22, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Following a loss to featherweight queen Cris Cyborg in her UFC debut, Evinger took some time off before eventually booking a fight against Marion Reneau at UFC Austin. Evinger was forced to withdraw less than two weeks later due to an undisclosed injury, and now -- nine months down the road -- she'll finally get her second opportunity in the UFC. She'll take on a tough customer in Vieira, a 26-year-old grappler that is 4-0 under the UFC banner. Despite the fact that Evinger is coming back down to bantamweight, the size difference between the two won't be all that drastic. Evinger is an inch shorter, but will enter with a two-inch reach advantage. Evinger is next-level tough and unlikely to be finished, but it remains to be seen if the time off will affect her against the up-and-coming prospect.
