2024 Fantasy Outlook
Mims got off to a great start as a rookie. In his first four games, he recorded 242 receiving yards. Things went downhill quickly. Mims had one game with more than 16 yards the rest of the way. In nine of his last 12 games, the receiver had fewer than 13 yards. The fact that Mims proved he can be productive was encouraging. However, since he was a non factor for most of the season it was concerning. It’s possible that with Russell Wilson gone and Bo Nix in at quarterback, coach Sean Payton uses Mims as more of a deep threat. Of course, Denver drafted Troy Franklin, so Mims may have to compete with the rookie for a prominent role in the offense. For now, the receiver is looking like a late-round dart throw in fantasy drafts. Read Past Outlooks

Stock on rise after Jeudy trade
Mims projects to be the team's No. 2 target after Jerry Jeudy was traded to the Browns on Saturday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean Payton made a point of mentioning his affinity for Mims after the Broncos selected the Oklahoma product in the second round of last year's draft despite not having any obvious need at wide receiver with Courtland Sutton and Jeudy on the roster. That hype quickly faded, as Mims amounted to more of a deep-ball specialist when the aforementioned duo was both healthy, but the soon-to-be 22-year-old will have plenty of time to succeed in the offense this season with Saturday's trade confirmed. Mims' success will obviously depend on who ultimately takes over as the Broncos' next signal caller, but it's unclear if the team will lean toward a rookie or build around one of the few established veterans expected to be on the open market come the new league year.

Raiders TE Michael Mayer and Colts WR Adonai Mitchell are two of the many players whose volume projections had to be adjusted downward after the 2024 NFL Draft. RW's Jerry Donabedian breaks it all down.
Oregon WR Troy Franklin can't be happy about falling to Day 3, but things could still work out for him in Denver, where he'll catch passes from college teammate Bo Nix.
Most of the big ADP changes can be easily explained, but there are also guys like Isiah Pacheco and Kenneth Walker dropping down the ranks for unclear reasons.
Tyler Lockett is one of the many big-name WRs with no guaranteed money remaining on a sizable contract, potentially setting up a trade or release in the next few weeks.
Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could play more after Jeudy trade
Mims could be in line for a starting role in 2024 after Jerry Jeudy was traded to the Browns on Saturday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Jeudy out of the picture, only Courtland Sutton is definitively above Mims on the depth chart in a wide receiver room that also includes Tim Patrick, Brandon Johnson and Lil'Jordan Humphrey. Sutton dealt with an ankle injury down the stretch in 2023, while Patrick missed the season with a torn Achilles. The cap-strapped Broncos are unlikely to make a major addition at wide receiver through free agency, though they could still add competition for Mims in the 2024 NFL Draft. After shining as a return man in his rookie season, Mims is poised to contribute more on offense in his second NFL campaign.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Mims joins Sean Payton and Russell Wilson after the Broncos took him 63rd overall in this year's draft. The Oklahoma product ran a 4.39 40 at the combine at 5-11, 183, which puts him on the smaller side for an NFL receiver but also means he's both heavier and faster (at least in terms of timed 40 speed) than first-round picks Zay Flowers (5-9, 182) and Jordan Addison (5-11, 173). Mims can't match Addison's college production but did have similar numbers to Flowers, who is a year and a half older. Mims had 610 receiving yards as an 18-year-old freshman, 705 as a sophomore and 1,083 as a junior, with 20 TDs and a 19.5 yards per catch in 37 games. He could quickly emerge as a deep threat for Russell Wilson, who continued to throw deep last season while struggling with ... pretty much everything else. Earning an every-down role is trickier, though things cleared up a bit for Mims when fellow wideout Tim Patrick sustained an Achilles tear during training camp.
